Christie Larue Adkins, 59 of Chesterfield, Va peacefully passed away on June 29th 2018 in the arms of her beloved daughter Ashley. Christie was born on January 7th 1959 in Richmond Va to Florence Ethel Lilley (July 11th 1936- May 22nd 2012) of Johnson City TN. Christie loved spending time with her friends and family in Tennessee, especially her Uncle Carl, Aunt Maggie and cousin Barbragail.
Her biggest joy in life was welcoming her daughter Ashley into this world. They were each other’s best friend. They enjoyed spending many weekends together at the lake soaking up the sunshine.
She also enjoyed family get togethers and just being around the ones she loved. Her laughter was contagious. She most always had a glass of sweet tea in her hand and a smile on her face showing off her lovely dimples.
Her heart was overfilled with joy by the birth of her Grandson Jace Asher Morgan. She spoiled him beyond belief and would have it no other way. She was the absolute best Nana to him and they shared an unbreakable bond.
She enjoyed spending time and watching movies with her sister Cherrie and brother in law Mitchell. Her nieces Christine and Amanda were very precious to her and she enjoyed time spent with them both. Christie retired from her job at Carpenter CO with 40 years of dedicated service.
A special thank you to her best friend Valerie Wright that she loved very much. Christie is survived by her daughter Ashley Adkins, Son in law Dwayne Morgan, Grandson Jace Morgan, Sister Cherrie Cadran, Brother in law Mitchell Cadran, Brother Collie Dolan, Sister in law Theresa Dolan, Nieces Amanda McCullough (Mat McCullough), Christine Carawan (Bryan Carawan), Brittany Dolan and Summer Dolan, Great Nephew Mason McCullough and Great niece Madelyn Pierce.
