Christina M. Parker, age 59, of Elwood, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne following an extended illness . She was born on October 25, 1959, to the late Robert and Jeanine (Thomas) Whetsel. Christina was a graduate of Frankton High School and formerly worked at General Cage in Elwood.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1771 in Alexandria. Christina enjoyed sewing and making crafts, playing Bingo, and going to the Casino. Christina loved the ocean and was hoping to spend time there again, but her health prevented it.

More than anything, Christina loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Christina is survived by her son, Andy Anderson and daughter, April (Carlos) Anderson, grandchildren, Jesse, Annaleece, Kieyler, Zoey, Caleb, Aayedrianne, and Braxton, brother, Tony (Tracy) Whetsel, sister, Vicky (Kevin) Karr, and several nieces and nephews. Christina was preceded in death by her father, Robert Whetsel, mother Jeanine Whetsel, and a brother, Robin Joe Whetsel.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 mm, Friday, May 10, 2019, at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor James Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am – 1 pm on Friday, May 10, 2019 prior to the funeral service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St. Elwood, IN 46036.
