Obituary for Christine M. Allen CHRISTINE M. ALLEN “Chris” (nee Gabriel), passed away peacefully on September 19, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of 48 years to John Sr.; loving mother of Lori (Bob) Vincent, John Jr., Gabriele (Phill) Velasquez; dearest Mom Mom of Alissa, Jaydan, Sydney, “P.J.”; daughter of the late Larry Sr. and Helen Gabriel; sister of Elena Gabriel, Larry Gabriel, Eddie (Marie) Gabriel, David (Dolly) Gabriel, Sr., Margarete “MG” Gabriel, Joann (Fred) Tupper and the late Maggie Cutuli and Ronnie Gabriel; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Christine was a breast cancer survivor and fought a courageous battle with small cell lung cancer.

She was a retiree of the Philadelphia School District throughout the Philadelphia area as a teacher’s assistant. She was also the family and neighborhood hairdresser. Chris was a straight shooter and never turned her back on anyone and will be remembered as a caring, hands on, go to person for her family and friends, they were everything to her, and she loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Loved traveling with her family throughout the United States and especially enjoyed Texas Holdem. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Monday beginning 11 AM at the Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home (3rd & Wolf Streets). Funeral Home Religious Service will follow at 1 PM.

Burial Private. In her memory donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Phila. , PA 19103.
