Christine Conant Metoyer April 06, 1937 – May 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Christine Conant Metoyer will be held at 11 am Monday, May 13, 2019, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church of Natchitoches with Rev. John O’Brien serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches.

The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua. Christine Conant Metoyer, 82 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 10, 2019, at home. Christine was born on April 6, 1937, in Natchitoches, LA to Francis and Victoria Conant.

On January 26, 1957, she married Leo Metoyer, Jr. To this union, 3 daughters were born: Kathleen Ayala, Edith Metoyer, and Theresa Metoyer. Christine loved dancing, baking, playing cards, Sunday afternoon rides and game night with her family. She cherished her family and strong Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Leo Metoyer, Jr.; daughters, Kathy Ayala (Rick) of Albuquerque, NM, Eydie Metoyer (Kenneth) of Cane River, and Teri Metoyer of Natchitoches; 4 grandchildren, Kristen Metoyer, Jeremy Metoyer, Kenneth Metoyer, Jr. (LaQuinta), and Amanda Ortiz (Juan); 5 great-grandchildren, Darrien, Annalise, Mariah, Aiden, and Kensley; a sister, Mary Llorens of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Joseph Conant (Melanie) of MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
