Christine Hagen, 95, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Pondera Medical Care Extended Care. A funeral mass will be Thursday, November 29, at 10:30am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery.

Christine was born to Mike and Katherine (Schiele) Bachmeier on July 27, 1923 in Orrin, ND, where she received her education. She married Pat Hagen on March 2, 1946 in Fargo, ND. They were married for 56 years before Pat died in 2002.

Pat and Christine moved to Conrad in 1948 and she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and later Pondera Medical Center for 41 years until retiring. Christine lived the last 11 years in the PMC Extended Care. Survivors include her sons, Jerome (Lori) Hagen of Cut Bank and Paul Hagen of Conrad; granddaughter, Amber Hagen; and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Rose (Bob) Monroe of Conrad and Margaret DeVoogdt of Devil’s Lake, ND; and brothers, Louie (Hanna) Bachmeier of Great Falls and Leo Bachmeier of Cut Bank.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary; grandson, Josh; great granddaughter, Ayrianna; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers. Christine was a very kind lady that never had a bad word to say about anyone. She could most often be found with a smile on her face and a book in her hands.
