Christopher Brian Neuberger, beloved son, husband, father, and friend, passed away from complications of cardiac arrest. In the days leading up to his passing, he was surrounded by his loving family along with respects from numerous friends, co-workers, and colleagues during his hospital stay. He was 52 years old.
Christopher was born on November 23, 1966, at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Brian Madson Neuberger and Anna Belle Daines Johnson. Being the oldest of their five children, Christopher was the idol to his four younger sisters as they were raised in San Diego, Phoenix, Northern Virginia, and Salt Lake City. At an early age, Christopher expressed his outgoing and energetic personality as he was on the baseball, football, swim teams throughout high school.
As a youth, he worked on a paper route for the San Diego Union where he obtained a perfect record and earned a scholarship for college. His enthusiasm continued throughout high school until honorably serving an LDS mission in Campinas, Brazil. In 1989, Christopher married Rachel Anderson.
Together, they had four beautiful sons who were and continue to be the center of his life. In 1991, Christopher graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Business before his progression towards MBA degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management; the same school where his father taught before his death in 1995. In 2013, Christopher remarried the love of his life, his soulmate, Julie Diane Applegate.
Together, they defined the meaning of true love with their zest for laughter, joy, and endless affection for one another. His seven years with her were the happiest of his life, and anyone could see it. With their marriage, Christopher gained the daughter he never had.
In the last year of life, Christopher was a founder and Chief Branding Officer at Well-Beyond. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Nutraceutical International Corporation for 25 years, where he was an award-winning omnichannel branding executive in health food, mass market, and direct sales. Throughout his life, Christopher was highly regarded in all areas but was first and foremost a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all.
He took great pride in raising his four sons and one daughter and never went a day without always thinking of their well-being. He adored his children and was proud of their accomplishments. He set a great example for his family and all those around him.
His sound advice was listened to and admired by all who knew him. Christopher’s charisma was magnetic and he had a wonderful sense of humor that enabled him to live life to its fullest. To the very end, his selfless sacrifice of donating organs to save the lives of five others will be an example and a legacy for generations to come.
Christopher is survived by his wife Julie, and their children, Chase, Hunter, Nelson, Jackson, and Bailey. He is also survived by his mother Anna Belle, and his sisters, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Mercedes, and Ashley and numerous others. He is preceded in death by his father Brian.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 17th from 6:00-8:00 at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 18th at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1830 East 6400 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at the LDS church at 12:00 pm prior to the funeral services.
Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. *In lieu of flowers, please contribute donations to Christopher’s 15-year old son Jackson Brian Neuberger, or donate to Intermountain Donor Services www. idslife.org would be greatly appreciated.
