Christopher Jackson April 12, 1968 – December 31, 2018 At 5:00pm on December 31, 2018, Christopher Jackson entered into eternal rest. Chris passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Charlotte, NC surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maryann Jackson; stepfather, Lonzell Davis; and brother, Aaron Pierre Davis.

A native of Gastonia, NC, Chris was born on April 12, 1968 to the late Tommy Lowery and Maryann Jackson Davis of Gastonia. He was reared in a large family which is where his love of family and community began. Chris attended Ashbrook High School and went on to further his education in Job Corp in Kentucky where he received his G.E.D. and certification in Culinary Arts.

He also attended Central Piedmont Community College where he received HVAC certification. He was employed at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church for a number of years. Chris accepted Christ in his heart and was a faithful and active member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church for 13 years.

, serving as a Youth Sunday School instructor, a member of the Men of Christ Team, Multimedia Team, and the Extra Mile Ministry. Chris loved to sing, using his talent on the Men’s Choir, Combined Choir, and the UMBA Mass Choir. He cared deeply for his church, family, and friends.

He believed in looking back and helping to bring others to Christ. Chris’s preparation for live was clearly influenced by his love for God and the Word of God. Christopher was a devoted father.

His beautiful life will forever be in the memory of his family: two sons: Queves Graham of Gastonia, NC and Christopher Jackson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC. One granddaughter: Briella May Humphries. Eight Sisters: Ericquetta Rainy (James), Valhalla Davis, Nina Davis (Horace), and Theressa Ham, all of Charlotte, NC; Becky Barnett of Gastonia, NC, Tamika Davis of Kings Mtn, NC, Mischandia Giles of Dallas, NC, and Bridget Smith (Stedman) of Shelby, NC.

Four Brothers: Deforest Davis (Nickey) of Shelby, NC, and Toraz Davis, Bobby Givens (Kay), and Terry Williams, all of Gastonia, NC. God-sisters and God-brothers: Bradley Wilson, Greg Garvin, Wiley McDowell, Angie Gardner, Shannon McDowell, Rico McDowell, Aricia Phillips, and Brenda Addison. Special friends: Margaret Garvin and Nikki Belk.

Significant other: Rita McKenzie. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, other relatives, and friends.
