Obituary Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. -John 14:27 (GNT) On May 24, 2019 Christopher Wesley Brown, affectionately known as “Chris” peacefully transitioned from his earthly labors to his Heavenly place of rest.

Chris was all about this Scripture and left it echoing in the hearts of his family to share with all young people: “Redeeming the time because the days are evil” Eph. 5:16. Born December 13, 1989 in Cairo, Georgia, he was the loving son of Jeffery and Selena Brown.

Chris attended public school in Cairo and graduated from Cairo High in 2008. While in high school, he developed a passion for speaking Spanish. He enjoyed helping teach English to Hispanic Church groups while learning to speak Spanish in return.

In a very short time he was speaking Spanish well. He took classes at Bainbridge College after high school graduation. His employment included Walmart and Murphy’s.

Chris had a quiet, gentle and humble spirit that showed in his involvement with people. He loved fish and animals. He brought home every “stray” dog that he came across up until his very end.

Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his genuine love and respect for his family and others as well as his “catchy” smile. He leaves behind and awaits the Glorious Reunion in Heaven of his father and mother Jeffery and Selena Brown, Cairo.
