Chyrel’s Obituary QUEENSBURY — Chyrel Ann Kelsey, 79, passed away after a brief illness on May 3, 2019. Born on May 4, 1939, in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of Paul Norris and Muriel Cross. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School.

On February 26, 1959, Chyrel married Charles R. Kelsey at their pastor’s home in Schenectady, NY. Throughout her life, she worked as a stenographer for New York State, as a dental hygienist and a secretary for the Girl Scouts. She was also the secretary for T.O.P.S.

Chyrel always enjoyed her grandkids and all of their activities. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Muriel Norris. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Charles R. Kelsey of Queensbury; her children, Shannon Kelsey of Fort Edward, Kelly Kelsey of New Mexico, Charles S. Kelsey of Moreau and Matthew Kelsey of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Kayla Kelsey, Kristen Combs, Ethan Kelsey, Colin Kelsey and Justin Boening; her great-grandkids, Aiden, Bentley, Easton and Jameson, and her brother, Terrance Norris of Latham, NY.

There will be a small gathering of immediate family and friends in Chyrel’s memory. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Pastor James Swanson, her best friend, Ann Rimsky, and the staff at the Glens Falls Center.
