Cindy Lynette Young, age 49, died Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born December 2, 1969 in Rexburg, Idaho to Leon Charles and Carolyn Sue Lambert Young. Cindy grew up in Roseburg, Oregon.

She earned her Associates Degree from Ricks College in Idaho, her Bachelor’s Degree from BYU in Provo, UT and her Master’s Degree from UNLV. She worked at the Discovery Academy in Provo with troubled youth. In 2008 she moved to Logandale, Nevada.

She was very proud of her work with the State of Nevada, Division of the Elderly. Cindy loved her family. She loved being “The Favorite Aunt” to all of her nieces and nephews.

She loved to travel, especially cruises. She was always ready for a party or to watch a good movie. Survivors include her parents, Leon and Susie Young of Logandale, NV; one brother and two sisters: Deon (John) Zerkle of Logandale, NV; Kevin (Maria) of Las Vegas, NV; Sandi (Shawn) Woodhams of Weeki Wachee, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Logandale Stake Center, 2555 N. St. Joseph St., Logandale, NV. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.
