Claire Ann Smith, 64, passed away on September 21, 2018 in St. George, UT. Claire was born on May 25, 1954 in Las Vegas, NV to Benjamin Thornton and Verna Bagshaw. Claire loved the southern Utah mountains.
She would spend as much time there as possible. She loved fishing in the cold mountain streams and creeks, and camping and riding 4-wheelers. She loved her children and supported them in their pursuits.
She was known as the neighborhood mom, making sandwiches for Nick and David’s friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was joking to her last days. She was a fun person and young at heart, and fondly remembered the “old days”.
Claire is survived by her son; Nick Smith and his wife, Terri, her grandsons; Charlie and Logan, her sister; Brenda, and her brother; Cliff. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her son; David Smith II. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary in Logandale, NV, with Graveside services following at the Pioneer Hill Cemetery in Overton, NV at 10:30 a.m. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest book at www.
