Petrie, 80, of Syracuse passed away April 25 surrounded by her loving family. She worked at Snowflake Pastry Shoppe for over 30 years. She was the strong Matriarch of the family, always putting her family first.

She loved life and was always joyful and generous. She will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick Manchester & Diana Boule; her husband Robert Petrie Sr; her brother, Private First Class Thomas Boule USMC; her sister, Catherine Boule and granddaughter, Gracie Lynne Petrie.

Claire is survived by her beloved children, Marsha Vault, Lynne Petrie, Robert Petrie Jr.; her grandchildren, RJ Vault (Stephanie Ingram), Sydney Vault (Tim Csigi), DJ Petrie, Brendan Petrie, Jordan Petrie & Benjamin Petrie; great grandson, Nathan Vault; her siblings, Madeline Clark, Charles Boule, Ann Boule; her feline companions, Blondie & Tigger; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Robert Carhart and Dr. Debanik Chaudhuri for their support over the years and for being there for her and her family as she passed. Friends may call Saturday May 11 from 2 to 4pm at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk.

Onondaga Hill, with a Celebration of Life immediately following calling hours at Finally Ours Diner, 3788 W. Seneca Tpk. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the Humane Society of CNY.
