Clara M. Cassidy (nee DeSoi) age 88 years of Gibbstown died Saturday May 4, 2019 in her daughter’s home. Mrs. Cassidy was born and raised in Woodbury and was a 1948 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She worked as a book keeper for Storrie, Budd and Jones Agency in Woodbury before her retirement.

Mrs. Cassidy was a devoted member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael’s Church in Gibbstown where she served as a lector. She was a past Brownie leader; and was an avid oil painter and gardener. She is survived by her children, Patrick and Dawn Cassidy of St. Peters, Missouri, Kathleen and Don Kieser of Gibbstown; her grandchildren, Julia and John Comparri, Kelley and Neal Flescher, Francis Cassidy, Erin Cassidy and Mary Clare Cassidy and her sister, Anna and James Lux of Florida.

Mrs. Cassidy was predeceased by her parents, William and Clara DeSoi, her step mother, Anna DeSoi, her brothers, William and Francis DeSoi and her brother, William Harker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday May 10, 2019 in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael’s Church, 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday morning after 9:30 AM until Mass time.

Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Arrangements by McBride – Foley Funeral Home, Paulsboro. Contributions can be made in her memory to Ferrell Vol.
