Obituary of Clarence Tomas CLAY TOMAS Of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Swissvale. After a creative, loving, and adventurous life, Clay unexpectedly passed away on January 14, 2019. He entered the world on August 5, 1952, son of the late Clarence Tomas and Gail Jean Layman.

Loving husband and soulmate of Karen, with whom he shared a “charmed” marriage of 34 years; brother of Sharon Palmieri (Ralph) and the late Bonnie Matthews (and her surviving spouse, Tom); cherished son-in-law of Sarah Trojanowski; and brother- in-law of Debbie Trojanowski. Clay attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a commercial photographer, enjoyed creating art, and lived life to the fullest.

Clay was a lighthearted, fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor who made friends easily. He gave a piece of his heart to everyone he met and will be deeply missed by countless friends and family. Clay’s happy, creative spirit lives on through his art.
