Claude L. Brinson died on March 27, 2019, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on March 30, 1952, to Alenna and Charles Brinson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal grandparents, Ennis Champ Warrick and Alma Lightfoot Warrick.

Claude moved from Ohio to Boys Town, Nebraska, in November 1966 and graduated from there in 1971. He then attended Creighton University, majoring in History.
