Claude passed away due to compilations in the treatment for cancer. Claude moved to Delaware January 2003 after retirement from Boeing Aircraft Co. Wichita, KS to be closer to family. Prior to that, Claude served for 23 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.

Claude retired from the Air Force in 1978. He served a tour in Vietnam (1968-1969) as a jet engine maintenance technician. Claude was a member of the Holy Cross Church, and the Kiwanis Club of Dover, DE.

Claude is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Martha Ann, and son James Richard. He is survived by 3 sons, Charles A. Marks, SSGT, USAF-Ret and Wife Robin of Milford, DE, Robert J. Marks, Brig Gen, USAF and wife Kim, station at Scott AFB, IL, and Daniel W. Marks of Wyoming, DE, 4 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery where Mrs. Marks now rest.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Claude’s name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolence can be sent via www.
