Obituary for Claudette Pauline Haq (Roux) Claudette Pauline Haq, 79 years, of Kennebunk, died October 12, 2018 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH with her loving family at her side. Claudette was born January 22, 1939 in Lewiston, ME, a daughter of Rosario and Antoinette (Goulet) Roux. She earned her Associates Degree in Medical Technology from Westbrook Junior College.

On October 11, 1964 she married Dr. Badi Z. M. Haq, MD. Claudette enjoyed gardening, playing tennis and golf. She was very social and enjoyed getting together with her friends.

Claudette was an avid reader and really enjoyed a good mystery. She was a giving person and volunteered with the Southern Maine Health Care Auxiliary and was a board member of Waban Association. Claudette also owned a needlepoint shop in Kennebunkport that allowed her to express her entrepreneurial spirit.

She also loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trips to St. Thomas. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends. Claudette was predeceased by her husband, Badi, in 2012.

Claudette is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Timothy Dettinger, of East Kingston, NH; her son Christopher Haq; several nieces and nephews including Teri Gallo whom she treated as a second daughter; and many dear close friends and neighbors. Plans are being made for a celebration of Claudette’s life in the summer of 2019.
