Claudette ‘Polly’ Bergron Gendron, 68, wife of Leo Gendron, of Greenwood, SC died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown in Greenville. She was born in St. Albans, VT to the late Norbert and Katherine Wing Bergron. Polly attended college in New Hampshire.

Later in life, she, along with her husband, relocated to South Carolina. For over 15 years, Polly was employed as bookkeeper for Mullet Door. She had a vivacious personality enjoying singing and dancing; she was a social butterfly.

Polly had a captivating sense of humor, often she was ‘teaser. ’ Camping and reading were hobbies that reflected her more gentle self. She worshipped at Shiloh Mennonite Church.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennifer Tessier and Jilda Jo Vermillion. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Leo, of the home; a brother-in-law, Dale Tessier, of Donalds; several nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Sarah; and a wide circle of friends and church family. A service to celebrate Polly’s life will be 4:00PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Shiloh Mennonite Church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions, in memory of Polly, may be sent to the charity of one’s choice. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.
