Claudine Lenore Andreasen, age 90, passed away on January 15, 2019 in her apartment in Poulsbo, WA with her daughters Linda and Lori by her side. She was born in Manson, Iowa to Carl and Minnie (Hunt) Collman. Claudine was raised on a farm in Fergus Falls, MN.

She attended the University of Minnesota for 3 years, majoring in Home Economics. Claudine met the love her life, Donald Edward Andreasen of Owatonna at the U of M and they were married August 10, 1950. While he was in the Navy they moved to Florida.

Donald got a job with Western Electric after the Navy and that began their life of moving and travel. They lived all over the United States and overseas in Japan, France and Hong Kong. They moved close to 29 times in their life together.

They ended up in Hastings in 1997 to be near their grandchildren. Claudine was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a full-time mother, Brownie, Girl Scout, and 4-H leader.

She loved to cook, bake, sew and knit. Her faith life was very important to her and her husband, Donald. They were active members of New Life Evangelical Free Church in Hastings but were very active in all their churches.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Andreasen; daughter, Sheryl Andreasen; sister, Coral Holland; and brother in law, Paul Conrad. Claudine is survived by her daughters, Linda (Richard) Waite of Poulsbo, WA, and Lori (Greg) Mikel of Hastings; grandchildren, Don (Jill) Waite of Peoria AZ, Kristin Waite of Port Orchard, WA, Bryce Mikel of Minneapolis, Elaine Mikel of Hastings, and Keith Mikel Minneapolis; great grandchildren, Shelby and Ashlyn of Arizona, and Tjaden George and Trenlyn George of Washington. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday (2/1) at 1:00 PM at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings.
