Obituary of Cleatus Troy Fuller Jr. Cleatus Troy Fuller, Jr., age 65 passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on August 30, 1953 in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of Cleatus and Alene Cox Fuller. He was retired from the Hugo Public School system, where he taught both middle and high school sciences and coached football and tennis.

He was often seen running the scoreboard at basketball games and generally cheering on Hugo students in whatever activities they pursued. He was extremely proud of his students and athletes and spoke often of them. He had many friends in his fellow teachers.

Cleatus was a musician at heart and loved playing guitar and bass, even in the classroom. He was a member of the former Green Box Band. He had many hobbies and was deeply intellectual.

He looked for the good in people, and felt the world would be a better place if people spent less time judging others and more time caring for others. He was an amazing Papa, whose legacy will live on in five young ones who adore him. He was a devoted father who always had time to talk or drill his kids on the tennis court.

He was the love of Lola’s life, together since ages 15 and 16. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. His sense of humor and ability to tell a joke kept us all laughing.

His huge bear hugs will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Roma and Billy June Brown, and beloved grandparents, Ted and Katherine Cox, and Andrew and Lena Fuller. Cleatus is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 45 years Lola (Brown) Fuller; daughter Sharon Elizabeth Fuller Boone (Michael); son C. Troy Fuller III (Genie); special nephew Russell Chance; sister Katherine Chance; brother Richard Fuller (Cynthia).

Cleatus’ grandchildren are Emma Boone, Will Boone, Estella Boone, Avery Fuller, and Cavan Fuller. He is also survived by a rare friend Billy Cogburn who helped him and Lola with his many doctors’ appointments over the last few years, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. There will be a drop-in memorial at the Choctaw County Public Library in Hugo, Oklahoma on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.
