Cletus’ Obituary Cletus L. Eggers, 71, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with Father Bernard Rott officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, May 18th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Cletus was born on March 18, 1948 to Edmund & Goldie (Pickle) Eggers.

He was a graduate from Hazel Green High School. He married JoAnn Rae Mickus on April 26, 1969. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Company, FDL, Farmland and later for Haun’s Butcher Shop in Dubuque, IA.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI and of the Union Local AMC 150 Dubuque. Cletus enjoyed fishing, hunting, yardwork & gardening, an avid card player, reality TV shows, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, grandchildren & great-grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cletus is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, JoAnn; 3 sons: Brian (Janie) Eggers of Dubuque, IA, Tony (Kristi Johnson) Eggers of Sherrill, IA and Kevin (Anna) Eggers of Hazel Green, WI; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Louise (Greg) Andrews & Carol (Dee) MacNaughton; 1 brother: Ron (Linda) Eggers, mother-in-law, Marguerite Mickus, a brother-in-law, Gregg Mickus; a sister-in-law, Linda Rozina along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald and a grandson, Jordan. In lieu of plants & flowers a Cletus L. Eggers Memorial Fund has been established.
