Clifford I Zalay 94 of Oldsmar, Florida. Passed away October 14, 2018 at home. Clifford was born on June 18, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois.

He proudly served in The US Army in both WWII and the Korean War as a Master Sergeant. After his military service he worked most of his life in Insurance and was a certified financial planner. He met his loving wife Helene in Hawaii while vacationing in 1970.

Clifford loved playing the harmonica, especially at Cricketeers, once even playing at a Tampa Bay Lightning game. He also loved to volunteer for Kids & Kubs Softball and Honor Flight after receiving a flight himself. He was also a proud member of the VFW Dunedin Post.

He is survived by his loving wife Helene; son C.J (Laura) and granddaughter Marissa and Kaila and his dog Dixie. A Visitation will be held Friday, October 19 from 6-8 PM with a funeral service Saturday, October 20 at Holloway Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Graveside service will be held at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Illinois on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Clifford’s favorite charity the Suncoast Animal League would be appreciated.
