Clifton Ervin Adkins, age 76 departed this life Monday, May 21, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. Clifton was a very loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family.
He loved telling stories about “the way things used to be” and riding his 4-wheeler in the mountains. He is preceded in death by parents Columbus and Eva (Woods) Adkins; daughter Christy Adkins; brother Harold Adkins; sisters Juanita McGhee, Brenda Owens and Jean Rector. He is survived by sons Randy Adkins & wife Beverly of LaFollette, and Brandon Adkins of Caryville; daughter Eva Bruce & Rodney Green of Jacksboro; brother Chester Adkins and wife Judy of Huntsville, TN; 7 grandchildren, & 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, May 25th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Don Allen officiating. Friends and family will meet 10 AM Saturday May 26th at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Turley cemetery for the 11 AM interment.
