Clinton E. Bertsch, 79, of Lehigh Township, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twsp. He was the husband of Helen M. (Musselman) Bertsch; they were married on January 13, 1986. Born in Ruchsville, on October 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Ira and Bessie (Strauss) Bertsch.

Clint served in the US Army from 1961- 1963. He was employed with Vita Frost and other trucking companies as a truck driver for many years. Clint was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville and the American Legion Post 899, Lehigh Twsp.

He enjoyed restoring cars and attending car shows, riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing at Blue Mountain Fish & Game. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: William J. Jones, III and wife Debra of Walnutport; daughter: Eva Jones of Walnutport; Son-in-law: Allen Gruber, Sr. Of Slartington; Grandchildren: Laura and husband Michael Kichline, Allen Gruber, Jr., Rachel Puccio, Mark Jones and wife Eliana; 10 soon to be 11 great-grandchildren; brother: John Bertsch and wife Carolyn; Nieces & Nephews; He was predeceased by a daughter Ruth Gruber, brothers: Ira (Pete), Charlie and Ernest Bertsch, sisters Violet Bochrowski, Joyce Berk and grandson Rodney Gruber who passed away one day after him on December 20. A funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville PA 18035.

Calling hour 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. Interment with military honors to follow at Indianland Cemetery, Walnutport. Arrangements are under the care of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Clint’s name can be made to either the American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or the church all c/o the funeral home.
