Clinton Monroe Lamb , February 25, 1930 — March 07, 2019

Clinton Monroe Lamb, 89, of Shelby, MT, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Clinton was born on February 25, 1930, in Stevenson, WA to Clinton Albert and Minnie May Lamb. Clinton entered the Army in 1947, receiving the occupation medal (Japan) and rank of Private E-2.

Upon returning home he started his career as a lineman in Glacier County, then worked for Marias River Electric followed by projects near Libby, as at the time they were building the Libby damn. During his career he worked not only in Montana, but also Idaho, Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Clinton had three children from his first wife Flora Luchie, and one child with Barbara Remley, before marrying Royalleen Spires, until her passing.

Clinton later purchased the home he loved in Waterloo, OR, which was known for its majestic pine tree that covered the corner of his yard. The calm of the Santiam river, which he could hear from his house, added beauty to his life. He lived in the that house with Norma, the love of his life, until she lost her battle with cancer.

His home in Oregon allowed him to enjoy the lakes, rivers and the ocean. As a younger man, he loved fishing and hunting with both shotguns and rifles. A romantic at heart, he was always happy to spin the girls around the dance floor.

He also rebuilt Harley’s and rode them around the Montana back roads. He relished traveling not just by motorcycle but later in his motorhome. When not out and about he could be found reading or watching western movies.

Clinton was close to his children and had many adventures with them over the years. He will live forever in those hearts he has touched. Clinton leaves behind daughter, Susan (Guy) Smith; sons, Gerald Lamb, James (Susan) Lamb, and Michael Hendrickson; 9 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.

He goes on to join his parents; wife, Royalleen Spires; brother, Charles Lamb; sister, Ruth Lamb.
