Clyde E. Boyce May 02, 1935 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Funeral service for Clyde Elvis “Sike” Boyce, age 84, of Unionville, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Jonathan Boyce officiating and speaker, Rickey Lamb. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery. Mr. Boyce passed from this life Sunday, May 5, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the funeral home. He was born May 2, 1935, in Unionville, TN to the late Robert Clyde “RC” and Sallie Baker Boyce and is preceded in death by: brothers, Cecil, Melvin, and Jerrell Boyce; sisters, Delores Wessner, Martha Flippo, Barbara Baugher; brothers-in-law, Ervin Wessner, James Flippo, and Reedus Baugher; grandchildren, Brad Nelson, and Zachery Boyce; great grandchildren, Hailey Holder, Ellie Grace Nowlin, and Nellie Marie Nowlin; son-in-law, Danny Pugh; and sister-in-law, Margie Boyce. Sike worked for Eaton Corporation for many years and retired from Bedford County Highway Department.

He attended Elm Street Church of Christ and was one of the founders of the Halls Mill Sorghum Squeeze. He enjoyed: hunting, fishing, farm work, ginseng hunting, and logging. Survivors include: loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie Nell Lamb Boyce of Unionville; children, Mitzi Pugh of Shelbyville, Tim (Rhonda) Boyce of Unionville, Darren (Janie) Boyce of Shelbyville, and Jamie Boyce of Shelbyville, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brothers, J.B. (Donna) Boyce of Shelbyville, and Larry Boyce (Linda) Boyce of Unionville; sister-in-law, Josephine Boyce of Shelbyville, and Barbara Boyce of Shelbyville.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association @ www. alz.org. Doak-Howell Funeral Home is serving the family.
