Mr. Clyde Wayne “Wid” Widmyer, 86, of Hagerstown, died early Tuesday afternoon, February 26, 2019, at Brookdale of Hagerstown. He was the husband of Mrs. Leatrice Jeanine Widmyer, his wife of 62 years. Born August 31, 1932, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Glenwood Kelly and Oklahoma Jessmine Graham Widmyer.

Wid graduated from Martinsburg High Schoo lin 1950; and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. Mr. Widmyer worked for PepsiCo, Williamsport. He was a longtime member of Zion Reformed United Church of Christ; and The American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42; both of Hagerstown.

Besides his wife, Jeanine, Wid is survived by his in-laws, Robert and Lana Barnhart of Hagerstown; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Phyllis M. Fletcher, and Sylvia, Margaret and Mary. The arrangements have been entrusted to Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, with services at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Widmyer’s name to his church, Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, 201 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
