OBITUARY Codie Jo Hill October 17, 1977 – December 17, 2018 Codie Jo Hill, 41, of San Antonio, TX, joined her Savior in her eternal home Monday, December 17, 2018. Codie Jo was born to Dusty Hill & Rhonda Jo Hill October 17, 1977 in Houston TX. She graduated from Spring Woods High School in Houston in 1997.

She received a degree in Political Science Pre-Law with honors from the University of St. Thomas in 2001. Codie took pride and great joy in raising her sons, Joseph Hill, age 9, and William Henry, age 7. She was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Association & was a member of the Barbeque Committee Office.

She was also a founding member of the rodeo’s Petite Piglets organization. She was raised in Spring Branch Presbyterian Church in Houston of which she was still a member and she was active at Northern Hills United Methodist Church in San Antonio. Additionally, Codie was a strong advocate of organ donation.

As a transplant recipient herself, she understood the importance of being a donor, and because Codie was a registered donor, burn victims will recover, amputees will walk again, and someone who was blind, now will have sight. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Bea Bea and Papa Bryant, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Tremble, and Jessie Kite Smith; grandparents Myrl “Mom” Hill and Ron and Peggy Tremble, better known as “Ma” and “Pa”; uncles Stanley Garvin and Rocky Hill; aunt Jane Garvin Aiken; and several other uncles and aunts. Surviving Codie are her father Dusty Hill, mother Rhonda Jo Hill, sons Joseph and William, Charleen Hill, her beloved friend Debra DiCarlo Herring, Jack West, aunt Sue Garvin Shadix, aunt Joy Hill, uncle Dan Tremble and wife Julia, Colin Gray(Tiffany), Taryn Gray, Karye Maine(Bryan), uncle Don Tremble and wife Barbara, cousin Ron Man Tremble, other family and numerous friends.

And family dog CarCar. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Your Health First Education (It’s a 501(c)3), its mission is to educate the public on liver disease, obesity, nutrition.
