Cody Levi Sumlin, 25, of Floral City, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019. He was born on July 8, 1993 in Florence, South Carolina. Cody worked as a roofer in his family’s business, Sumlin Roofing.

He enjoyed fishing and just being outdoors. He and his brother enjoyed wrestling. He recently started teaching his son, Levi some wrestling techniques.

Cody loved spending time with his family and son. His mother said, “He never met a stranger”. Cody leaves behind a young son, Levi Strong Sumlin, and Levi’s mother, Kayla Crepps.

He is also survived by his parents, David and Clara Sumlin; brother, Joshua Sumlin; sister, Jessica Sumlin; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Meyers; paternal grandparents, James and Lois Sumlin and many other family members including, aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew. A Funeral Service for Cody will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. His family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM until the time of to the service.

Interment will follow at the Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL.
