OBITUARY Col. Vibert Strock Jr. August 28, 1942 – October 3, 2018 Col. USAF Ret.

Vibert Strock Jr., age 76, passed away on October 3, 2018, in Austin, Texas. Vibert was born August 28, 1942 to parents Vibert and Pauline Strock. He graduated from Glynn Academy High School in 1960 and in 1964 he received a degree in Chemistry from the University of Georgia.

In 1965, he moved to Webb Airforce Base and accepted a position as a student pilot. Vibert was a great man and a loving father. He married Charlene Madden in 1964 and the couple had three children together.

Vibert was a social, active man who enjoyed golf. Vibert is survived by his wife, Charlene Strock of Dripping Springs, TX; his sons, V. Linn Strock III of Dripping Springs, TX and Charles Strock of Franklin, TN; and his daughter, Shannon Strock-Smith (David) of Bastrop, TX. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Palmetto.
