Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Coland was born in Columbia, South Carolina on March 14, 1932, the son of the late Coland Wesley, Sr. and Gaynell (Jeffcoat) LeGrande. On March 25, 2010 he married Linda Klauka in Flint.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Swartz Creek. Mr. LeGrande retired after 32 years of service at GM and was active in local city politics. Surviving are wife, Linda; daughters and son, Debra (John) Vecellio, Beverly (Darrell) Cooper, Coland “Bud” LeGrande, III, Diane (Phil) Venegas and Ruthann (Mike) Brabbs; step-daughters, Lori (Todd) Schuster and Lisa (Gregg) Clark; 25 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce LeGrande.
