Colby Smith Tucker, 15, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Duke University Hospital after a courageous battle fighting Ewing Sarcoma. Colby was a member of Jackson Heights Original Free Will Baptist Church. He also attended North Lenoir High School where he was a sophomore.

Colby loved playing his guitar and video games. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer Bryan Smith Sr. and Linda Potter Smith. Survivors include his parents, Ricky and Jan Tucker of the home; paternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Stroud Tucker of Kinston; sister, Mary-Ashlyn Tucker of the home; uncle, Elmer Bryan Smith Jr. and friend Michelle Odom of Kinston and his children, Elmer Bryan Smith, III and fiancée Anna Kennedy of Kinston, and Darrah Nichole Smith of Greenville; uncle, Michael Joe Tucker and wife Elizabeth Ann Ketterman of Greenville and daughter, Arya Scout Tucker.

Funeral service will be held 5:00 p.m. Sunday November 18, 2018 at Jackson Heights Original Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Barnett and Ashley Summerlin officiating. Visitation will follow the funeral service. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday November 19, 2018 at Westview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Jackson Heights Original Free Will Baptist Church, 285 Camellia Street, Kinston, NC 28504.
