Colleen Page, 88, of Boise, Idaho passed away at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise, Idaho on December 13, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Fox Cemetery in Fox, Oregon. Pastor Al Altnow of the John Day First Christian Church will be officiating the service.

Following the service, a reception will be held at Dick and Yolanda Galbreath’s residence. Colleen was born at Burns, Oregon on April 22, 1930, the eldest of two daughters born to Wilbur Reynolds and Julia (McKinnon) Reynolds. Colleen grew up on a small cattle ranch in the Long Creek area of Grant County near the middle fork of the John Day River.

She attended the Range School on Granite Creek, grades one through eight. She graduated from Long Creek High School in 1948 and was valedictorian of her class. She was active in sports having played volleyball and softball all four years.

After graduating she married her high school boyfriend, Bruce Galbreath. They had two children, Carol Ann and Richard Lee. The marriage ended in divorce.

Colleen and the children moved to Pendleton where she worked for Pendleton Grain Growers and Eastern Oregon State Hospital. During that time she met and married Bruce Holt. They had one daughter, Lori Jane.

This marriage also ended in divorce. In 1965 Colleen and family moved to La Grande where she accepted a job with the Department of Transportation, Highway Division as secretary for the right of way section. She retired from this job in 1988 having worked there for 23 years.

After moving to La Grande she married Jack Page and they enjoyed many years together traveling, camping, trips to Jackpot, Nevada and a very special trip to Alaska in 1990. Colleen enjoyed a variety of hobbies; one being crocheting afghans. Most of her friends and family have one of her afghans.

Cooking was another favorite hobby, she was a wonderful cook and holiday meals for her family were special. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Anne; sister, Betty Cook and nephew, Kenneth Cook. She is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Jack; son, Richard (Yolanda) Galbreath; daughter, Lori Jane Allen (Charles); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
