Colleen’s Obituary Colleen Shelton, beloved mother, sister, grand-and-great-grandmother passed away on December 24, 2018 in Startzville, Texas, at the age of 92. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on August 11, 1926, to Corrie J. and Edna (Duncan) Shelton. Colleen graduated from San Marcos High School.

She married Howard Shelton on July 3, 1947 in San Marcos and they enjoyed 66 years together before he passed away in 2014. For 16 years, she owned and operated “The Wood & Iron Show”, a curio shop in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her son, Ed Carl Shelton and wife, Christine of Colorado; daughter, Corrie Parsons of Startzville; brother, Handler Smith and wife, Leslie of San Marcos; five grandchildren, Heather Lynn Shelton, Carla Colleen Elbel, Christopher Paul Buckles, Allen Preston Parsons and Autry Colleen Parsons; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at the San Marcos City Cemetery, at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, December 28, 2018, with her daughter, Corrie Parsons officiating. Arrangements by Pennington Funeral Home, San Marcos, Texas, 512-353-4311. www.
