Colleen Young Slagle passed peacefully away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in her home. She was born on August 12,1926 to Dugal and Mable Young in Vernal, Utah. She married Luman (Bud) Patterson Slagle on August 15,1946 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Their marriage was an example of love, kindness and service to all their family. Colleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to play the piano and organ.

Colleen was the organist for many years in church starting at age 14. She will always be remembered for her amazing talent of a pianist. She also was the pianist and performed with the group called “Feed My Sheep”.

Colleen was loving, honest, friendly and always cheerful. She had a great sense of humor, made friends easily and was loved by many people. She loved to celebrate her birthday.

Her celebrations over the years became many days not just one … Her positive and uplifting personality will be dearly missed. Colleen was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband, with whom she is now enjoying a wonderful reunion. Colleen is survived by her six children Sue Wilcox (Guy) Sherrie Boseman (Jerald) Shauna Coe (Michael) Stephanie Cannon (Tristan) Shirlee Carroll (Richard) Michael Slagle, 26 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren.
