She was born in Neptune and lived in Asbury Park before moving to Oakhurst. She graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University and taught English at Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch, NJ.

for over 30 years. She is predeceased by her father Emil and brother Thomas Travers. She is survived by her mother Vittoria St. Peter, Tinton Falls, one sister, Patricia De Sabato of Waretown, three nephews; Anthony(Kristin) Travers Neptune, Theodore (Stephanie) Travers and Matthew Travers, Tinton Falls , four great nephews; Brody, Thomas, Gregory and Logan and one sister in law Patricia Travers of Tinton Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, Asbury Park on Thursday 10:30am . Interment to follow Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune.
