Connie Bassinger, 69, of Alvarado, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2019 at Clayton Kay Vaughn Funeral Home, Pastor Paul Callaway, officiating. Visitation: 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the funeral home.

Connie was born November 20, 1949 in Cleburne, Texas the daughter of Virgil Leo and Helen Joyce Beam Gross. She graduated from Alvarado High School. Connie worked over 20 years at the Movie Scene in Alvarado.

She was a member of Buel Baptist Church. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bassinger and her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory: Sons, Jeff Bassinger and wife Suzie and Ricky Bassinger; brothers, Dean Gross and wife Judy, Tony Gross and wife Bridget, Harold Gross and wife Pamela, Joe Gross, and Gary Gross; sisters, Pam Van Winkle and husband Richard, Linda McClure and husband Larry. 4 grandchildren, Reagan Read, Cory Bassinger, Chance Patterson, and Aristen Lopez; 2 great-grandchildren, Finn Read and Bryn Bassinger.
