Constance “Connie” Phillips, age 73 of Farwell, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. Connie was born the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Hull) Cohoon on February 24, 1946 in Flint. She was united in marriage to Joe Phillips on January 15, 1966 in Flint.

Together they had moved to Clare in 1980 and then ultimately to Farwell where they lived on the river. She had earned her Master Degree and Specialist Degree, Summa Cum Laude at Central Michigan University. Connie had been a school psychologist in the Bullock Creek and Mt.

Pleasant Public School Systems; having retired in 1996. Following her retirement Connie made hand embroidered clothing which she and Joe sold at craft sales throughout the state. When Connie was not crafting she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her husband Joe; her son Daryl (Renea) Phillips of Clare; grandchildren Kyler and Sadie, and her siblings Gay (Tom) Watts of Durand and Kerry (Bruce) Lang of Beaverton. Visitation and services will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until the time of services at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor John Kasper officiating.

Following cremation, burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. On-line guestbook at www.
