Conrad Michael Gonzales Sr September 15, 1960 – December 27, 2018 Conrad M. Gonzales Sr. went to be with the Lord December 27th surrounded by his family. He was born in Ventura County and raised in Santa Paula, CA where he met and married his lifetime sweetheart Rachel (Soto) Gonzales. They moved to Santa Barbara and resided there for 5 years.
In 1984 they made Lompoc, CA their home. He pastored in the Lompoc Valley for 33 years. He worked for the Boys and Girls Club for over 13 years where he directed and oversaw teen programs.
In 2010 he was the first recipient of the Valley of Flowers Peace Prize Award. He was recognized for the successful Teen Outreach Program (T.O.P.) that brought together teens of all walks of life. In 2014 he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Kiwanis Club for his continued service in the Lompoc Valley.
In 2017 The Boys & Girls Club of Lompoc renamed their teen center “The Conrad Gonzales Teen Center” for his dedicated leadership and advancement of Teen outreach. He had a heart for the unity of families and preaching the word of God. His legacy is survived by his wife Rachel, sons Conrad Jr & David, daughter Melissa (Morales) of Lompoc.
