OBITUARY Constance Jane Rodriguez September 24, 1940 – October 21, 2018 Constance “Connie” Jane Rodriguez (Steenblock), 78, passed peacefully on October 21, 2018. Connie was born on September 28, 1940 in Belmond, Iowa to the late Ronald and Ruth Steenblock. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1958.

Connie married Tony Rodriguez in 1960. The couple welcomed two children, Richard and Tammy (Dan) Martine; four grandchildren, Sara, Ryan, Jordan, and Tanner; three great grandchildren; Benjamin, Asher and Rose and extended family, Jason Rocha. Her children remember her as a kind, loving, happy and great mother who encouraged them to treat people as you would want to be treated.

She was a generous, witty and funny individual who loved making people laugh. She was the life of the party and she never met a stranger who she didn’t like. It was easy to fall in love with her humor and contagious smile.

She loved her family unconditionally. She is preceded in death by her 4 sisters and seven brothers. Visitation will be Saturday, October 27th from 1-3 pm at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm.
