CORINE A JAMIESON January 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Corine Adelee Jamieson(Bryan) was born on January 23, 1934 in Colon, the second largest city of the Republic of Panama to Victor and Eileen Bryan(Ferguson). She passed from this well-spent life on January 14, 2019 at the tender age of 84. 9 days shy of her 85th Birthday.

Corine was preceded in death by her father Victor Simon Bryan(1994), her mother Eileen Eliza Bryan(1993) both of Colon, Panama and her beloved nephew Victor Belcher(2008) of Willingboro, New Jersey. Corine is survived by her only son Enrico Jamieson(Tahyi Jamieson), two granddaughters Amirah Jones and Elyssa Jamieson, great-granddaughter Leilani Jones(Virginia) sister Stena Belcher and nephew Clifton Belcher(New Jersey). Corine has lived in the Republic of Panama, New York, New Jersey, and the most recent location in Illinois in which she resided for the past 43 years.

Corine’s hobbies consisted of sewing, crafting, listening to the radio, and reading home remedy books and magazines. She loved clothing, scarfs, and various fabrics. She often traveled to California and Virginia to see her beloved son and family.

At any early age, Corine and her sister Stena went to church and participated in the “Girls Club” and the “Junior Choir” at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Silver City of the Panama Canal Zone. She attended the Rainbow(Silver)City High School of the Panama Canal Zone and graduated in the Class of 1952. During that time she received certificates in Citizenship(having straight A’s) and Safety.

In 1954 at the age of 20 Corine traveled from Panama to New York, and started her first job at a New York style deli until 1962. She married her childhood schoolmate Ernest Jamieson in 1966 in New York, where they resided in Highland Park and Willingboro, NJ. Their only son, Enrico was born in 1971.

The family later moved to Woodridge, IL. From 1986 until 2019 Corine resided in Downers Grove, IL. Corine worked as a Directory Assistant Operator for New York Telephone(1962-66) and for New Jersey Bell Telephone(1966-71).

She also was a Quality Control Clerk for Chicago based Walter E. Heller & Co.(1979-89). Her last and longest employment was serving as a Customer Accounting Associate and Safety Deposit Attendant for Downers Grove National Bank(1989-2009. Corine was a loving mother and grandmother who was fond of participating in a local social club called the “Belovenant Angels” where she met and made many life lasting friendships with Mr. Earl and Mary Baker, Mr. Kirk and Eddye Toliver, Mr. Willie and Missouri Lucas.

Karen McCracken-Henry and her family were a longtime family friend and coworker. Corine lived a long and fulfilling life. She had a kind heart and a warm spirit.

She will be truly missed.
