Corrine “Snook” Naomi Scott, age 84, of Middletown, DE, departed this life to be with the Lord on January 4, 2019, at her home. Corrine was born October 29, 1934, in Kenton, DE to the late Herbert Marion Sudler Sr. and the late Grace Claire White-Sudler. She was the oldest of 15 children.

Corrine was a longtime resident of Middletown, DE. She received her G.E.D. later in life. She retired from Canteen Vending Services, which was located at Johnson Controls Battery Plant in Middletown, DE.

She was a loving, caring woman who was the matriarch of her family and loved them deeply. She was an excellent cook who was best known for her legendary rice pudding; boy, could she work some rice pudding! Corrine was a loyal member of Byrd’s A.M.E. Church where she served as a church mother and missionary for many years.

She loved her church family and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Corrine enjoyed spending quality time with her close group of friends who are affectionately known as the “Golden Girls”. She spoke highly of these special friends and they all shared many fun times together.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Herbert and Grace Sudler; a son, Kevin Goldsboro; four siblings (a sister, Evelyn Howard, and three brothers, Donald Sudler, Harvey Sudler, and Melvin Sudler); a stepmother, Maggie Sudler, and a stepson, Albert Scott Jr. Corrine leaves an extensive family behind to cherish her memory including her loving husband, Frank Scott Sr. of Middletown, DE; three beloved and devoted daughters, Cynthia Goldsboro of Harrington, DE, Sheila Evans and Carmen Goldsboro-Hudson of Dover, DE; three dear sons, Clarence “Sonny” Sudler (Kim) of Killeen, TX, John Sudler (Donna) of Dover, DE, and Wendell Goldsboro (Charity) of Brownwood, TX; three stepdaughters, Doris Scott and Pamela Hillard (Greg) of Smyrna, DE, and Trisha Scott of Dover, DE; three stepsons, James Scott (Debbie) of Dover, DE. , Dennis Scott (Pandora) of Middletown, DE, and David Scott (Kathy) of New Jersey. Additionally, she is survived by a loving godson, Lawrence Craig, of Star Hill, DE, forty-seven (47) grandchildren, twenty-one (21) great-grandchildren, seven sisters: Vera Gautiere of Providence, RI, Phyllis Jackson of Orlando, FL, Nancy Coverdale of Dover, DE, Grace Gormley (Kevin) of Greensboro, NC, Eunice Ridgeway and Millicent Dennis of St. Augustine, FL, four brothers: Herbert Sudler, Jr. (Geneva) of Clayton, DE, Howard Sudler (Mary) of Northeast MD, Roger Sudler (Juanita) of Dover, DE, and Seymour Sudler (Shallie) of Felton, DE, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, her sisters-in-law, and the “Golden Girls”: Marguerite Harris, Pauline Evans, Carolyn Demby, and Mary Smith.

A service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Byrd’s A.M.E. Church, 131 Dickerson St, Clayton, DE 19938 at 10:00 A.M. There will be a two-hour viewing prior to the service from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. Online condolences may be made via www.
