Corrine Anderson, 92, of Baker City, Oregon passed away at her residence in Meadowbrook Place Assisted Living Community on November 26, 2018. A memorial service was held at Meadowbrook Place on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 2:00 PM. Corrine Swanson was born on November 9, 1926, in Duluth, Minnesota to Fred and Mary Jane (Winter) Swanson.

She attended high school at Denfield High School in Duluth, Minnesota. On her high school graduation day in 1944, Corrine met her future husband Kenneth Anderson as they were paired up to walk down the aisle together. They began dating shortly after meeting and Corrine faithfully wrote to Kenneth while he served in the Navy.

On July 17, 1948, Kenneth and Corrine were married in Duluth, Minnesota. Corrine worked for several years for the Diamond Call Horseshoe Company as a secretary and billing clerk. She eventually decided to become a homemaker and spend her time taking care of her family as they moved around following Kenneth’s career as a gold miner.

She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and she was proud to be affiliated with the Presbyterian church. Corrine is survived by her husband Kenneth of Baker City, Oregon; her son Kent Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister Betty Rossi of Cleveland, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Sherry Ruth Anderson.
