Craig A. Koehler, 63, found peace on January 22, 2019. Born October 9, 1955 in Reading, PA, he was the son of Henry Koehler and the late Helen (Sattler) Koehler. After graduating from Manheim Central High School in 1973, Craig served his country in the US Army from 1975 to 1979, including service in the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Division in Grafenwohr, Germany.

He also earned his professional motor transport license from the MTA truck driving school in Elizabethtown, PA. After the Army, Craig resided in Temple, Texas until 1983 and spent the duration of his life near family in PA. Craig had a spirited sense of humor, fueled by a vivid imagination and colorful language.

He enjoyed a good steak, hot fudge sundaes, classic rock music and drives though Hibernia County Park. Craig is survived by four siblings who reside in Berks county: Nancy Yeager, wife of Conrad Yeager; David Koehler, husband of Joanne Koehler, Karen Achenbach, wife of Michael Achenbach, and Lisa Frank, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Brenda Koehler and Christine Koehler.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at Gethsemane Cemetery. Donations may be made in Craig’s name to the Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance at 1234 Penn Avenue, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
