Cristina Méndez Mesa, de 81 años, falleció tranquilamente el Viernes 12 de Octubre de 2018. Nació el 31 de Marzo de 1937 a padres Bonifacio y Petra Méndez en Los Martínez, Guanajuato, México. Ella tenía tres hermanos.

Cristina se casó con el difunto Pedro Aguilera en 1953. Juntos tuvieron 12 hijos de esta unión. Cristina pasó sus años en León, Guanajuato y Painesville, Ohio.

Ella era una amante de la cocina, la familia y Dios. Cristina disfrutó su tiempo en oración y tiempo de calidad con sus nietos y bisnietos. Su dedicación por la comida la llevó a trabajar en varios restaurantes enseñando a otros sus tradiciones culinarias Mexicanas.

Ella siempre estaba llena de compasión, humor y determinación; ya que Cristina fue una madre fuerte para su familia. A Cristina le sobreviven 10 de sus hijos, 40 nietos, y más de 45 bisnietos; yernos y nueras; y sus hermanas Juana y Lucía, todos viven en Ohio o México. La familia, amigos y todos aquellos que viven conmovidos por Cristina son bienvenidos a unirse a su familia en su recuerdo.

Cristina Méndez Mesa, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday October 12, 2018. She was born to the late Bonifacio and Petra Méndez on March 31, 1937 in Los Martinez, Guanajuato Mexico. She had three siblings.

Cristina married the late Pedro Aguilera in 1953. Together they had 12 children from this union. Cristina spent her years in Leon, Guanajuato and Painesville, Ohio.

She was a lover of cooking, family and the Lord. Cristina enjoyed her time in prayer and quality time with her great and grandchildren. Her dedication for food brought her to work in various restaurants teaching others her Mexican culinary traditions.

She was always full of compassion, humor and determination; as Cristina was a strong mother for her family. Cristina is survived by 10 of her children, 40 grandchildren, and more than 45 great grandchildren; daughters and sons in law; and sisters Juana and Lucia all who live in Ohio or Mexico. Family, friends and all of those who lives were touched by Cristina are welcome to join her family in her remembrance.
