OBITUARY Curtis “Woody” B Mann March 2, 1928 – February 3, 2019 Curtis “Woody” B. Mann, age 90 of Birmingham, AL went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Mr. Mann was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He served his country proudly as a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Mann was retired from the Birmingham News with more than 45 years of service. He attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Bernice “Tommie” W. Mann; a son, Richard D. Mann, and sister, Margie Hood.

He is survived by his son, Curtis Mann, Jr. (Jan); his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mann; a sister, Millie Colgan; grandchildren, Crystal McDaniel (Josh), Sara Bolton (Michael), and James Mann; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Services will be held on Thursday, February 7th, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
