In the early morning hours of February 24, 2019 surrounded by his family, Dale Warner went home to the Lord. Dale was born February 18, 1938, to Ben and Artha Jones in St. Paul Minnesota. He is the youngest of 3 children.

Dale proudly served in the US. Navy from 1957-1961 and was a plumbing contractor for 27 years. At a young age in 1949 he met Kathy Hodges.

Many years later she became the love of his life and they married on December 23, 1959. They were the “real life” version of the Notebook. Their love was undeniably one made for the books.

Shortly after they married they welcomed the first of their 3 children, Diana, followed by Kimberly and Michael. Dale was a true family man. Yes work paid the bills and put food on the table, but his wife, children, son/daughter in law, grandkids, and great grand kids were always #1.

He was always there for his kids, if they needed help, whether he knew how or not, he figured it out. If they wanted to pull the boat, learn to drive a stick shift, he was right there to teach them. He was also their Safe place to go to if they just needed a hug.

And he was the best hug giver. Dale and Kathy opened their home to not just family, but to friends young and old. And if you just stopped in for a minute, and he began a story, you found yourself staying a lot longer as the stories were never ending.

He was known as the gentle giant who shared his big heart, huge smile, kindness and love to all. Dale and Kathy opened “Warner Family Care home” in 2000 to care for those with disabilities. Many have become honorary family members throughout the years.

Dale truly will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathy, daughters Diana Kuhn (husband Joe), Kimberly Kennedy, and son Michael (wife Karen). 14 grandchildren, Jared Kuhn (wife Catherine) Tyler Kuhn, both of Yuba City, Josh Legnoksy of Plumas Lake, Griffin Clingman of San Diego, Michael Way (wife Stephanie) Minot, ND, Amanda Alexander (husband Louis) Columbus, GA.

, Ryan Segress(wife Libby)Marysville, Ca. , Keith Warner (wife Latasha) Minot, ND. , Dalton Warner of San Diego Ca, Delila (husband Micheal) Fort Riley, KS.

, and Haley Sampson-Warner, Jordanna, Katie and Roger Warner all of Olivehurst, Ca. 5 greatgrandchildren, Cora Kuhn, Ronin Way, Nathaniel Alexander, Scarlett Warner and Rozlynn Way and one on the way and brother-in-law Gerald Rister.
