OBITUARY Dale Eugene Cowey November 7, 1950 – September 22, 2018 Dale Eugene Cowey, 67, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Dale loved life. He would not want to be known for his accomplishments but how he lived life.

He loved caring for his family and friends. Dale held close to his heart his children and grandchildren of whom he is so proud. He is the type of person that never saw anyone as a stranger.

He will be missed by us all. Dale is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Cowey; his children and their spouses, Elliot & Angie Cowey and April & Gerry Strickland; along with three grandsons, Adam Strickland, Garret Strickland and Tyler Cowey. He is also survived by his Mother, Mary Davis; brother, Tommy Cowey (Pam); and four sisters, Linda Singleton (Gary), Robin Barwick (Larry), Carol Cowey and Helen Cowey; along with a large family of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29th at Cotten Funeral Chapel with Dr. Richard Seagle officiating. The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1463, New Bern, NC 28563.
