Dana Lynn Gilligan, 68, of Burke, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Plattsburgh, NY. Born on July 18, 1950 in Dexter, New York, she was the daughter of Darrel and Dorothy (Bloom) Barnett. They predeceased her.

She was married to Stanley Gilligan on September 23, 2002 in Burke, NY. Dana graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone. She worked as social worker for Franklin County for 33 years, before retiring in September 2010.

She was an avid traditional bow hunter and a member of Club 43. Dana enjoyed canoeing, camping and riding horses. She loved spending time with her four Golden Retrievers.

Dana is survived by her husband of 16 years; two sons, Timothy and Rory Boyea; a daughter, Nichole Boyea; four grandchildren; two brothers, David and Gary Barnette; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring and announced at a later date.
