Daniel “Dan” A. Moore, 78, passed away September 27, 2018. Born in Barnesville, he lived in Springfield Township most of his life. He is retired from Ferriot, Inc. in the Purchasing Dept.

and was a member of St. Matthew Church. Dan graduated from Barnesville High School and received a Bachelor Degree from Kent State. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Summit/Portage County Outreach Society of St. Matthew and President of the Purchasing Association of Akron.

Dan enjoyed officiating Junior High and High school football, and coaching Little League Baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cheng and Polly Moore; sister, Linda McLeish; son in law, Wayne Chance. Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; daughters, Chelli (Chris) Yoho of Mogadore, Rena (Sam) Grida of North Royalton; sons, Jeffrey (Deann) Moore of Springfield Twp.

, Brian (Jennifer) Moore of Wisconsin; siblings, Milissa Bachtel of Wadsworth, Michael (Becca) Moore of Indiana, Joseph (Donita) Moore of Lancaster; brother in law, Charles McLeish of Marietta; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at the St. Matthew Parish 2603 Benton Ave, Akron. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. following visitation at the church with Rev.

Michael Williamson officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Outreach Society of St. Matthew Church.
